Rather be Paddling is an online paddling community. It was launched in May 2009 in Perth, Western Australia, by a couple of paddlers and is now run by an "Inner Circle" of around a dozen key site designers and contributors. It is user driven - registered users contribute their stories, opinions, photos, video and wild exaggerations.

We aim to:

i. Build community among local paddlers
ii. Facilitate the sharing of information, opinions and services within the paddling community
iii. Provide a high quality web system that is easy to use
iv. Not take ourselves particularly seriously

It's entirely non-commercial, has no sponsors or income and does not generate emails or newsletters.
