Long Distance Champs RESULTS
Submitted by Ski girl on Wed, 12/09/2009 - 12:44
After having recovered from the Xmas food coma I have now updated the summer series results.
However gremlins on the IOP site prevent me from uploading anything there, so head to www.indianoceanpaddlers.com for instructions on how to get your very own copy of state champs results and the summer series update!
possible date change
Hi all-
Saturday's wind looks fairly abysmal so we may change the race to Sunday. Same time, same places, same party after if you're in IOP. We'll decide Thursday and I'll post the update here.

Long Dist (Ocean) Champs
Hi Ski Girl,
You seem to be a driving force behind IOP and this "Long Distance Ocean Racing Marathon Downwind Do I Really Want to be Doing this Race"
Sunday works better for me, I have a hangover planned for Sat ... and for most of the day. A bit more tail wind would be nice too!
Where can we keep up to date with race info etc? IOP website does not seem to get updated. Will there be CWA or RBP updates?
Don't mean to dump this on the Ski Girl, but you seem to be the one of the few with answers right now.
Cheers!
website updates
Hi Not Rookie-
Glad to accommodate your hangover (and not paddle in a lightning storm), race now changed to Sunday.
I update the IOP site at the same time as the RBP site and the IOP Facebook page, trying to cover as many bases as possible.
See you on Sunday!
See you there
Hi Ski Girl,
Thanks for making the change just for me. No problem with the odd bolt of lightning, but paddling with a Hangover no thanks!
Although ... I kind of preferred the look of 16-20 knots. It could have been a leisurely paddle, with the wind gently pushing us along. I could have taken a few coldies and a fishing rod for the cruise.
Now it's going to be a 24km seat of the pants race, I might spill my beer!
See ya there for what looks like a rather wild Rookie ocean race.
PS: I didn't realise you did so much online stuff, thanks for the help!
Entry closing date
SkiGirl, can you tell me when entries close?
Whats the entry fee?
I can't seem to see it on the link Ski Girl.
entry fee
That's cos it's not there Wally.
$30 if you're in a Canoeing WA-affiliated club, $40 if not - once you start the rego process you'll see it.
