To make our community site work, we need to agree on some stuff:

1. Respect: Anything you post on the site needs to be respectful to other people and their business activities. That doesn't prevent giving an opinion or making a criticism, but don't get personal. The place for conflict resolution is in a room together, not via a website.
2. Transparency: If you have a vested commercial interest, say so. We will do our best to do the same. We don't do 'cash for comment', but we will enter into commercial arrangements, as long as our users are clearly informed when someone stands to make money.
3. Collegiality: No club or type of paddling is better than any other. We would all Rather Be Paddling, and that's why this site is a community. You don't have to be interested in everyone else's stuff, but don't bag what they like to do.
4. Intellectual Property: We believe in the rights of authors to their copyright, for text and images. We will attempt to credit images and reference text authored elsewhere. When you submit text and images to our site, you are providing us with them to make use of. If you wish to retain some control over their use, talk to us about it.
5. Advertising: We don't have any at present. We probably will do, as long as it does not detract from users experience of the site. Talk to us if you'd like to enter into an arrangement to provide services to our users.

We reserve the right to delete your content, block or delete users who don't respect the rules.
